Truth Police Reports

On November 5th 2002 we could see great changes in Florida, or we could watch as once again cannabis law reform continues to be denied as an issue.
This election all seats in state government are up for election, and candidates are running around trying to speak to as many people as possible, so we ask that you speak with one local candidate, and ask them our 5 questions, as well as any you may feel are important.
For a printable copy of our questions download our Truth Police Brochure.

"If the victims of the drug war stand united they will form a political constituency that could end the drug war." -- Congressman John Conyers, the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee in the US House of Representatives

Below is a list of candidates sorted by office, and district if you don't know which district you live in see congress.org for a search by address.
The questions that have been asked of the candidates are

1. Do you oppose legal medical access to cannabis by patients as qualified by licensed healthcare providers?

2. Do you oppose incarceration for non-violent first and second time drug offenders?

3. Do you oppose implementing harm reduction concepts such as needle exchange which has been proven in the Netherlands and Switzerland to reduce the spread of HIV?

4. Do you oppose spending our tax dollars on escalating the failed policies of the war on drugs?

5. Do you support restoration of voting privileges of convicted felons who have completed their sentence?

To avoid confusion answers will be posted in terms of the candidates position on the question in relation to drug policy, Yes for pro drug law reform, and No for pro drug war.
