I decided a while ago to devote a web page to what I thought were the coolest bars,taverns, and pubs in the world . I have done this in part because I know it is one of the most miserable experiences
for someone who wants to have a good time in the evening and they have no place to go or the end up wasting good money and time sitting in an overpriced hotel bar or an expensive nightclub that lacks what bars
are notorious for....ATMOSPHERE.... So, below I have attempted a list of the coolest bars I have been to
or that folks have told me about....it is in No particular order as to coolness my explanations should explain the degree of coolness to be expected.....

The State line runs down the center of this rustic world famous bar.The walls are covered with signed and autographed pictures of many world renowned Blues,Country,Rock,Folk, and Jazz artists, all which have played at Flora-Bama.This is where about 300-400 Natives and tourist spend Friday
and Saturday night.Filling their bellies with some of the best Crawfish and filling their souls with live musicfrom one of the 4 stages located inside and out on "THE DECK" Inside the main Bar on the florida side, mostly live gulf coastal blues acts adorn the small but ample stage. On the Alabama side inside
they play classic rock, Outside, in one area they have a guitarist playing
classic rock and things...in another area, it is country. This Bar has the
largest outside deck I have ever witnessed at a bar....It is two Stories
and right on the beach. During the summer they host volleyball tournements,Mullet-Tosses,and horseshoe tournements.Most of these activities are set up where they are being played in Both states...
..No doubt about it this is the place to spend your evening getting drunker than cooter brown.If you go tell them I sent you and look for my page adorning the wall....
O' Malley's Pub 4th and Green St. Champaign,Ill (university of
Illinois)
coolest bar I have ever been to: the music is mostly classic rock, the alcohol is cheep, the
DJ's are stoned, the grafitti is wiity and allowed, the wall contest will
earn you a place in the bar history forever and a tshirt, American Pie plays
at midnight every night, People sing with the music, there are certain sayings
that are yelled during certain songs. There is a grateful dead mural in one
corner. Best club in USA. ****UPDATE**** as of this fall, O' Malley's was sold and is now
called Six Feet Under which describes what they did to O' Malley's. I have heard that the only business
they get is because O' Malley's used to be there! The new owners decided to change
everything but they should've left it alone I wouldn't be suprised to see it really
die and the new owners try to return it back to its previous granduer lets hope so.

Small Friendly english style pub in hong
kong....coldest cheapest beer,great food, great sound system.
Allowed us to put cassette tapes into the sound system and play our own music
charged me 10 (US)dollars for 2 plates of food and 2 picthers of beer and a T-shirt
typical english pub atmosphere but ran by chinese....

This place is the home of the singapore sling such a lovely drink and such a lovely place to
drink it.Although a rather expensive joint ,like almost everything in singapore,It is a historic site and you should go here if you have a chance.

Seville Quater...Intendencia and Government Streets Downtown.Pensacola, Florida
Located in the historic French section of Pensacola, This section of bars is one
club but has many bars inside. Many of the Bars cater to different musical tastes. End of The Alley is one of the quieter bars where almost every monday night live duets sing cool tuneage. Outside of the end of the alley is a courtyard where they have live reggae on some nights. At the front of the complex is a techno-rave club which is slam packed on college night.... And best of all,
NTN Trivia in every one. They Also Have an impressive selection of Imported beers on tap.If i was to open a bar i would do it like this.....

In the basement of a downtown building....A favorite of the alternative
scene also a local gathering place for the carpathians and their friends.
The best night is Monday when it is Old Wave Night..........Nothing But those
loveable sounds of the 80's blast on the awesome sound system....this is
the most popular night. ever wanted to pick up someone in a bar? this is the night to do it. Cheap beer, a large selection of imports, and now Liquor....
The Saddle Rack ............San Jose,CA.
(Here by virtue of a fellow bar connisuer) The biggest nightclub in california Here's
the stats: 2 Full size stages, 1 Full Scale Mixing Booth, 1 Radio Station
Booth (95.3 - KRTY & 94.9 - KSAN), 3 Dance Floors, Electric Bull Arena
(Professional Equipment...no kiddie stuff), Margarita Ville (Barber Chair
